Answer: It is a flat sandal, the heel is not higher than the ball of the foot part. -

I ordered a 10 but was sent 10w, can I get a 10 if I send them back?
Answer: I believe the 'w' stands for 'women' rather than 'wide'. My size 8 of these is an 8w. My feet are narrow and a wide would be too big for me. Hope this helps. -

For half sizes, should I size up or down?
Answer: Size down for half sizes. I wear a 7.5 but the 8s were too wide and long. I had to reorder. Note that these give very little support but are great for poolside and beachwear. -

Answer: They fit my feet very well, and mine are a bit wide.
