The Basics of Public Budgeting and Financial Management: A Handbook for Academics and Practitioners is a very direct textbook, which is appreciated, but unfortunately, it is also poorly proofed, edited, and even physically damaged. The errors are pervasive and require corrections from the professor to be usable. Sadly this ruins what would have potentially been a great textbook, but as it stands, it is deemed the worst textbook by one reviewer, who finds it useless and frustrating. Questions are often unclear and lead to scavenger hunts without providing adequate reference material.
