George Harrison Format: Vinyl Korean Pop Editorial Review
**** "Early Takes, Volume 1" presents an intimate and heartwarming glimpse into the musical world of George Harrison, capturing the essence of his artistry and the deep connections he forged with his music. The collection, featuring ten tracks including both familiar favorites and four new interpretations, offers fans a unique experience akin to sitting in George's living room while he jams. The album stands out not only for its nostalgic value but also for how it strips down the intricate arrangements that characterized Harrison's earlier works like "All Things Must Pass," presenting a more acoustic and authentic sound that feels both timeless and refreshing. Listeners will appreciate the personal touch found in this compilation, as it highlights Harrison's raw talent and showcases his version of Bob Dylan's "Mama, You’ve Been On My Mind" along with a touching rendition of the Everly Brothers’ "Let It Be Me." The tracks evoke a sense of nostalgia, bringing forth emotions tied to both the music and the memories of fans who hold Harrison's work close to their hearts. The album excels in delivering a collection that feels complete rather than merely a hodgepodge of outtakes, demonstrating that Harrison’s gift of songwriting retains its potency even in its simplest form. Overall, this compilation is a treat for any George Harrison enthusiast. It not only cements his legacy but also allows fans to witness the musical evolution and thought process behind some of his most beloved songs. This is a timeless record that promises replay value and serves as a heartfelt tribute to the life and art of George Harrison. **
