The Bilstein 5100 shocks are a popular upgrade for a number of different truck makes and models including the 2005-2016 F250 4WD, the 2013 F350 Crew Cab and 2004 Jeep Grande Cherokee with appropriate chassis. Customers have described them as an excellent investment with an immediate improvement in ride quality when replacing original equipment manufacturer (OEM) stock shocks. The ride feels stiff when unloaded but this provides an advantage in handling when towing heavier equipment or travelling over uneven surfaces. Installation seems straightforward with some customers not removing front tires and being able to install and set shocks without help. However, limited working space may require some care with torque adjustments to ensure proper placement.
