The Clear Bonding Primer is a versatile surface prep clear primer base coat that suits various surfaces such as laminate, glass, metal, oil-based paint, and stains. The primer is water-based and has low Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) levels that meet the regulations' standards. The low VOCs make it safe for children's furniture, and this has been tested and found to comply with the Toy Safety Standard (BS EN 71-3). The primer is easy to use and allows the wood grain to show through for a natural feel. It is an excellent option for chalk paint projects and can also be used with acrylic paint. Though it may be runny, it works well to prep surfaces such as laminate and non-porous items for paint. It is advisable to use this bonding primer before stenciling on ceramic tiles, and it works well as an adhesive furniture and decor primer. The clear bonding primer was ideal for a customer who used it on their granite countertop surface before applying Apoxsee - this is because it turned clear upon drying and allowed the granite to shine through. Although the Clear Bonding Primer has received high ratings from some buyers, some were disappointed with how runny it was and that the chalk paint adhered no better compared to regular primer.
