Retrospec Thermoses Editorial Review
Retrospec Alder offers a double-walled vacuum insulated thermos with a wide mouth and a straw lid made of polypropylene material, but with some deficiencies. Unfortunately, the bottle is not sweat proof, does not fit dishwasher and is made in China with no replacement for the lid. The bottle appears sturdy, easy to carry around and has the perfect size to fit in the majority of car cup holders. Its weight is 26 ounces when empty, and it measures approximately 4 inches wide in the mouth and just under 3 inches at the base. It keeps the drink cold for a long time and, when used strictly for water, is excellent for day trips, portable and, as reported by a customer, makes them drink more water. However, it is not perfect, but with several defects as it gets problems with the seal for the folding nozzle quickly, and the small plastic handle molded on the lid tends to break after a few falls. The straw lid can leak very quickly if it tilts down, and yesterday's drink aroma remains, which does not provide a pleasant experience. However, the most confusing review is from the customer who unexpectedly used it to keep his food warm for 24 hours. He loved the bottle and bought another one. Although there are mixed experiences with the Retrospec Alder insulated water bottle, it appears that it is an excellent product for those looking for a portable and sturdy wide mouth bottle.
