The lamp is also tall enough to use in reading locations and provides adequate light. However, the lamp is not compatible with LED bulbs, which can cause buzzing and a shorter lifespan. The lamp's foot dimmer pedal is a cheap, lightweight, and ugly black plastic box that does not stay put on a wood floor while you dim/un-dim the light. The shade is not secure in the lamp and is Constantly cockeyed. It is also not putting out the bright light expected based on many favorable reviews.
