Question:
Can this work for powder coating? Will it take the heat of baking?
Answer: It will work for a powder coating but it will melt with its baked! -
Question:
Is this the stuff that you can cut out a design with an exacto knife and then use it for silk screening or airbrush?
Answer: I could imagine you could cut with an exacto knife with no trouble but I’m not familiar with silk screening. I could also see it working well with an airbrush. I used it to make a stencil for a wooden sign I made at Christmas with a silhouette cameo cutting machine. It is a thin plastic like material just like the thin sheets of stencils sold in some craft stores with an added adhesive back. The backing is not too sticky. -

Does it have an adhesive backing?
Answer: Yes, it does. However, buyers beware- this roll comes very tightly rolled and it causes a ton of air bubbles that are next to impossible to get out before using! -

Can you use this for etching?
Answer: I use it for glass etching. Works great! -

What setting would I put it on for it to cut on my Cricut?
Answer: On Explore you can set your dial to custom and then select stencil vinyl. On the Cricut Expression, set your blade to 3 and your pressure to medium -

Can this be used in the place of Cricut Stencil Vinyl?
Answer: Yes! I have not used the Circut brand before because I read that this is better which is why I purchased it. I tried it out and it works great! -
Question:
Can you use contact paper with it?
Answer: Hi, I would think so. We have not tried it but if the contact paper works with Oracal 651 or 631 it should work with this. -
Question:
Is this better than contact paper?
Answer: Hi yes. It is designed to work specifically with paint so when lifting it creates clean lines. Also due to the stiffness of the material, you can create larger designs than you could do with contact paper. -
Question:
What settings would you use for a Silhouette Cameo?
Answer: I used the stencil setting and it did not cut through all the paper. I will go 1/2 a click deeper next time I cut. -
Question:
Can a slice machine be used to cut the vinyl?
Answer: I’ve used a Cricut machine to cut this so don’t see why it wouldn’t work with a Slice Machine.
