The Fishman Loudbox Mini Charge is a high-quality small amp that provides an excellent acoustic sound. It has been noted as great for amplifying violin, viola, cello, guitar and bass. The treble in the sound was found to be opening up the high end in the perfect range for most instruments. It is a simple and solid design with no additional bells and whistles but still provides a powerful sound. The battery life, however, loses its effectiveness if stored for extended periods. It would have been better if they included this vital information in the manual or packaging. The battery is also necessarily heavy given its lead-acid composition, and problems with battery issues have not been covered in the Asurion protection plan. Some customers experienced issues with the unit breaking down after a few months, but most customers reported that it is an excellent purchase, and it is ideal for indoor performances where power supply is a challenge.
