Answer: No, I bought two of them and have hanging from the ceiling as more of a spot lighting. They are over 1 year old and are perfect. No fading or discolorations. I do not wipe them down with liquid cleaners. I only dust them with a dry cloth. I get a lot of compliments. -

Answer: Yes, it is UL approved. -

Where does the power cord run? I don't see the cord at all.
Answer: There is a cord and bulb holder and it is optional from back and down side of the lamp. We ship complete with electric fittings. -

Answer: Yes, the tripod is fully adjustable. Lamp and tripod about 80 inches tall. -

Since this is chrome, can you use a higher wattage bulb than 60W?
Answer: The lamp is steel and polished like chrome. We can only specify the manufacturers recommended wattage of 60 watts even though the electrical specifications of the socket and wiring is much greater.
