The guard is rolled up in packaging which means that the 90-degree mounting flange is flattened and needs to be bent up to 90 degrees before being fitted to the dock. A utility knife or hacksaw can be used to cut the material to size. The width of the Standard D style is approximately 2 inches. The top lip is about 1-1/4 inches wide. Unfortunately, for those who need a vinyl deck top of at least 2.25 inches to fit past a metal strip on the top of the deck, there are no larger profiles available.
